upon this journey

Upon this quest to being more thankful for what I have, I've stepped out of my comfort zone.

Today, my homefellowship members including myself went to some refuge shelter to spread the Christmas spirit all around and light little children's faces with smiles. As these little children might not be as fortunate as we are, at least we know that we've done our part to make this Christmas a truly memorable one.

It was easy to be the cause of smiles all around that enclosed, small and improper place they call Church for they appreciate all that we give and present to them - we did a puppet show, served finger licking food, gave them each a gift and made them participate in some games.

At 12 p.m , we made our way to the notorious side of Pudu. As I've been told, every Saturday at the same alley, people from our church will go there and help out with serving those unfortunate ones with food and entertaining them. And this Saturday, it was our turn, i suppose. There weren't much activities planned for them as the majority of them were past the age of sixty. So, we just sang Christmas Carols and served them with good food.

By 3 p.m, everything was done and we left for home.

I've begun my journey to being more thankful for what I have but I didn't think it would make such a quick impact. I am grateful and thankful but mostly I am over the moon because I brightened someone else's life.
