girl with a soft, warm scarf

A few days ago, Aunt Sharon handed over Grandpa's favorite warm scarf to me. She handed it with such honour, with slight tears filling up around her eyes. It was all so ceremonially done, in fact.

"Kristen, I'm handing over Grandpa's scarf to you because I'm sure he'd wanted you to have it. And everytime you wrap it around you, I hope you'll be remembered of how much he loved you. This scarf has been in the family for many, many years and I hope you'll keep it somewhere safe. Please, guard it with your life. "

So now, It's left in my hands to be taken care of. Guard it with my life, I shall.

P.S - An emotional rush has been upon me quite recently. So, bare with me.
