his little girl, forever

For my Dad's 45th Birthday, I'd wrote my dad a short poem. Explaining how much I'd appreciated his presence in my life throughout all these years. At that time, he was in Johannesburg. Emailing it to him was the only option, let alone a more convenient option. So, this was his reply...

"MY Dearest Darling Daughter,

With all my heart and will the Grace of God, I know I have been blessed everytime I see you, Clarissa and Jonathan growing up and how proud I am for the wonderful children you are all turning out to be.

I wish I can always be there to take away each and every pain and heartaches you may experience in your life but I know I may not be able to in reality.

I can only pray that each and every experience you may have will be as wonderful as the experience God has given me when he gave you to me.

I love you very much and no matter you can always depend on me for support in all you do.

"Keep growing and may each step you take, make footprints for others to follow".

Love always.

Your Daddy.

P.S. I am in Buenos Aires at the moment and will be leaving today for Johannesburg."
