thou' art the light unto my path

I peeped opened the louvers next to me after some time when all the lights on board were switched off as it was time to rest, except for those late-nighter's of course. I looked out and was mesmerized by the vast dark blue sky lighted with little diamond-like stars. Shining brightly and beautifully. I was taken aback at how beautiful the night sky is because with all the city lights and hustle and bustle going on in the city, such a sight would be impossible to gaze at.

Adoring the stars stirred up a feeling inside me that got my thinking juices bubbling. The stars remind me of people, matter-of-factly. Every star reminds me of a significant individual, different in their own unique way. I suppose they also remind me of my deceased loved one's. All placed up there to keep a weary eye on us by night and when morning dawns, they become guardian angels - they may not be seen by the naked eyes but you can feel their presence, you believe.
