As of late, a variety of dreams have been awaiting me while I'm whisked away to Dreamland. Dreams about friends, family, loved ones, and even people whom I hardly even know. These dreams were all pretty interesting, entertaining no less and sometimes just plain weird - a mixture of all perhaps? Some of which I wish to come true and some, I'd rather them stay as mere dreams.
One of the dreams I'm about to rant out here would probably be categorized as personal but I'm going to share it with you anyways. I'd dreamt about the speech I was going to give on my wedding dinner someday. I'd woke up from that dream with tears left to dry on my cheeks - happy tears. The most memorable dream of the lot - which is why I can still remember it with clarity undimmed.

___________
It's a garden wedding dinner. The sky is filled with little diamond-like stars and a full moon beaming it's light upon the dark night's sky. The atmosphere is a little chilly. The ladies were clad in their most elegant and stunning, the gentlemen in their smart suits/tuxedo's. Everyone looking unfairly tempting. The garden is filled with white, pink and red roses - petals spread all over the garden. The tables are candlelit, with the most luxurious golden- rimmed silverware. As I screen the place for my husband, all these make me forget about everything else. But then I catch my husband's eye, walk towards the main table and sit beside him. The ceremony begins.
Everyone is seated at their tables, with impatient expressions shown on their faces - they can't wait to eat. The hired help then brings in the first course meal, followed by the second... till the sixth. As they all enjoy the glorious six course meal, the emcee announces the time for The Bride's Dad to perform Butterfly Kisses by Bob Carlisle - a song my Dad made a promise to me when I was little to sing on my wedding day. My Dad, looking like he hasn't aged a bit, handsome and well put-together in his tux, walks up to the center of the stage, smiling at me. The spotlight shines brightly upon him, almost blinding. The pianist begins to play the song, the congregation swerved their positions to face him, he begins... There's two things I know for sure: She was sent here from heaven and she's daddy's little girl. As the song is close to the end, I saw, for the first time, my Dad tearing. Daddy's not one for tearing, he's always self- controlled and tough but seeing him on that stage, tearing, really proved his utmost love towards me. I couldn't contain myself any longer. The song has ended, he takes a bow and blows me a kiss. I can see that he's proud of me, proud of raising me as such.
The band continues playing their given playlist. Everyone's back at their seats, finishing their meal, some leaning in for a second round. "Ladies & Gentlemen, it's now time for the speeches", the emcee announces. A number of close friends and family members make a toast to the new married couple that is us. It's almost at the end of the speeches, when I don't see anyone about to stand, I do and say the things I'd dreamt of saying on my wedding night, when I was younger - my wedding speech.
"Firstly, I'd like to thank you all so much for coming, it means the world to us *looks to my husband*. Thank you for all those whom made tonight possible, I wouldn't know what I'd do without all the helping hands. Most of all I'd like to thank my grandma and grandpa for always being there for me, for a scrumptious meal always spread at the table. There's no way I could top the love you've given unto me my whole life. To Mum and Dad, whom kept me in line though it wasn't such an easy task, for always supporting me in whatever I wanted to do, and for encouraging me. Especially to Daddy, whom was always my superhero, always will be - always there when I needed him most, though sometimes things got in the way. Even though he worried about me, he too knew that someone greater was watching over me up in the heavens. I know that no matter what a child does, a parent can never feel hatred for them. So Daddy, I want to thank you for loving me through it all - whether I'd disappointed you, gone against your wishes, betrayed you trust. Because from it all, you must have done something right. You kept me in line, made me who I am today and somewhere along that line, I met the love of my life. I'd cherish it all for as long as I breathe.
I'd carry the memory of tonight with me for the rest of my life. Thank you all. "
The night starts to enfold, it's almost midnight. The guest are gradually reducing in number, shaking our hands and wishing us the best as they exit. The hired help starts to remove each finished meal from the tables, clearing up where they can. After a few moments, I make the great escape with my husband at side. We run to our ride, get in and wave as we drive away. Now, I'm all his...
