If only wishes came true

Tears stream down my face as I write this to you.
That's how much I miss you; wish you were near.
I love you Grandpa, I always will.

As I sit here, overwhelmed by my emotions,
I know your in a happier place.
My love will follow you wherever you go,
Oh how I loved you so.
I'd give the world to see your face.

Although I still feel sorrow and hate,
You can't fight fate.

You still hold a place in my heart,
Forever and ever, we will never part.

I still remember all the things we did throughout the years,
I suppose it's time to wipe away the tears.

I want you to know; I will never let you go.
My heart will always be with you.

Now it's time to say 'Goodbye',
But I promise we'll meet again, someday when I die.

This piece is dedicated to my grandpa as it is his birthday. He's been gone for two years now; funny how fast time flies by.
Since, he's someone whom I loved dearly, I thought I'd write him something that will put a smile across his face.
