I woke up groggily at 6 a.m sharp subjected to the Choral Speaking competition that was held earlier today.
With utter confidence and faith that was struggled to be shown on our faces, we did a good job at faking it. When in truth, we all felt unassured, afraid, and unconfident for most parts. Especially when we were on stage, with all eyes paying close attention to our every word and movement when it came to our turn, contestant number 4.
When our turn came to an end, we all felt relieved and proud of our performance. It was better than the one before, way better in fact. We did our teacher proud, and most importantly, ourselves too.
"You all did really well. Wether we win or not, the most important is that in our hearts, we know that we won and are winners" said Pn. Nurulaine.
That's exactly what i felt like in my heart, a winner; we all are. Cause' we know we did well, we didn't embarrass our school name nor our name. Even with a few pitches here and there, a slight lack of coordination, we did well. Better than most of the other school's. Though, we could've perfected ourselves a little bit more.
So, when everything had ended and the prizes were given out, we didn't with the first, second or even third place. Which isn't surprising due to the bias judges that were present but all in all, we left with satisfaction in our hearts.
