Today started off as any ordinary day - dull, and somewhat boring for most parts. Admittedly, it's due to my lack of sleep the night before.
Today, too, on the other hand, my school had celebrated Hari Koperasi. Though such a celebration was held, it did not change the gloomy, restless atmosphere that was circulating amongst us - we still had to follow up on subject after subject, whilst the teachers kept pilling up more homework that had to be completed in a brief amount of time (that, we weren't fond of).
As the new rules had just been established, our Wednesdays at school will only end at 2.30 p.m. Due to the extra classes which Curriculum has been replaced by. Well-aware as I'm sure we are all by now, SMKSI is undergoing renovation.
But since such an occasion was held today, we were dismissed earlier. As we made our way through the classroom corridors and then descending the stairs to the Dewan, numerous stall, fairs and even a blood donation booth was set up. But none caught a glimpse of my attention.
When I'd return home, seeing my aunt's and grandma's face, lighted mine up. I was happy and relieved to see them - also in hope for my aunt to take me gallivanting with her (a usual, on Wednesdays). So, we made our way to the very convenient Alpha Angle (Jusco), Wangsa Maju.
As i passed numerous shelves of books, category by category, in search for more books to be added to my mini library, I just couldn't make up my mind - I longed to own almost every one of them. Due to the inconvenient amount of money i had with me, i just couldn't.
But... I'd managed to score three new books from my aunt, at a reasonable price of RM69.90.
Plus, my monthly indulgences- CLEO and Seventeen magazine.
Now, my day felt a whole lot better.
I'm glad I'd tagged along to accompany her; just the two of us spending a little, 'Aunt and Niece' quality time- Not that i would ever refuse. Ha ha!
