She knew that it would all end badly....


He, she and the question.

She once met this guy, this really outspoken, funny and sweet guy. It was not by chance nor fate when they became friends. It happened through their friends as a matter of fact. Not hesitating or re-thinking anything, they ended up as friends. Really close friends. People would come up to them and say that they look good together as they we're so intact and so fond of each other. Well, at least that's what the others thought. But in her eyes, no feelings for him could prevail itself. Little did she know, he felt the total opposite. He came to realize that he felt something for her, he knew that just being close to her just wouldn't cut it. He wanted something to become of their relationship... That was when he decided to take a leap of faith to pop the question; not being aware for how she felt for him in return and not being aware of the side-effects later on, he still decided to hold his head up high and ask her.

When he finally did, she hesitated. At most part, it was because she never thought of slightest possibility that he would fall for her. Maybe she just refused to think so. Or maybe deep down, she felt something for him too but she couldn't give in to it because she had already made a promise to herself. The promise where her studies are at the top of her list and guys would only be let in her heart after her school years are over. Maybe that was the plan she had for herself.

Thinking hard and rationally about her decision, she was ready to give him an answer.

Knowing the kind of girl she is, she always had her reasons. They weren't the most wisest of the best, but to her, it was her only way. She say that as her only option.

She rejected him. She had to. It was the only way to prevent their precious hearts from shattering to pieces. If they were to be together now, it won't do any good. Cause' they know that in their relationship, there won't be a future... She knows that only too well. Losing him on the other hand, was not an option. She never wants to go through with it one day. She hopes she never has to. She doesn't want the proposal to change things between them as well.

And till this very day since the 9th of May 09', she is proud to say that they are sticking to just being close friends. Even though the feelings are still there, they have decided to not let it get in their way for now. She hopes only too much that things will stay the way they are forever...
