Vulnerability


she is strong and independent.

she is content with who she is.

she enjoys her life as a writer. she writes grand tales of romance and adventure.

she lives out her fantasies in her writing. she travels the world for inspiration.

when she’s not writing, she is drawing, painting, or campaigning for some cause or another.

she drinks in the air she breathes. she lives day to day. her cup is always half full.

men respect her and admire her, but she wont let any get close enough to win her heart.

she is satisfied with the life she leads - the freedom and the unpredictability.

she does not need a man in her life, but if the right one were to come along, she would love him and cherish him and still be complete with or without him.

she doesn’t fall in love easily. she doesn’t let any man get close enough to get hurt.

she knows exactly what she wants and what she has to do and to sacrifice to get it.

she’s the person i wish i could be.

but can never be.

because i let my heart run ahead of my head too quickly
and wear my heart on my sleeve too often.
